What a day.

Today has been awful.

Scott finally went back to work today after having bronchitis, only to be laid off! They have gotten really slow at work, and there are no jobs right now so he got cut. While out looking for a new job today, the truck started overheating and the oil pressure light kept coming on. We got the oil changed and decided to change out the spark plugs and Scott pulled the thermostat so the truck would stop overheating....Well when he put everything back together a screw for the water heater was stripped and now water just pours right on out. Now we have no vehicle. No jobs. Life is grand. On the up side of things, Scott found a guy who will come pick up the truck in the morning..and pay us $650.00. Which is enough to tow the jeep sitting at his parents house to a shop where they will install the engine we already have for it! And Scott got a call for a job interview tomorrow.

Have to check on dinner!!!

Its just been a few hours..but it feels like days!!!

Scott had me take him to the E.R. yesterday because he's been feeling icky for a few days. Turns out he has bronchitis. He can't work for 5 days which really really sucks. Not only because we could use the money, but he's cranky and I'm having a really hard time dealing with it. On top of all that, he has decided that we have to quit smoking. Which is a great...expect I REALLY REALLY REALLY want a cigarette!!! Butterscotch discs just aren't cutting it. Its going to be a very long week and its only been a few hours since I had my last cigarette.

How cute....

My neighbors found a dog and a kitten a few days ago..and today I took a few pictures. The kitten has decided it likes me, and spent most of the day on my front porch just staring at my front door....

Computer troubles...

Just thought I'd let you all know I haven't forgotten about this thing. Scott had to reformat the computer (I lost toooooooooons of pictures) and he hasn't had a chance to get it up and running completely yet. So my time on the computer has been very limited. Hopefully he'll get some more done on it tonight if he's not exhausted from work.

I told mom I found some old pictures when I was going through a bag I have not to long ago. So once I've got the all clear from Scott I'll be scanning some in and posting a few. I've also decided rather than going and taking a thousand pictures and starting all over again, I'm going to work on the photos I found the other day before I fill up my harddrive again! ( I lost a bunch of scrapbooking stuff too.) So I'll be on the hunt again!

Toodles.

Mean cable guy!!

I had a whole post typed up, and the cable guy unhooked the cable and I lost it!!!

So here goes again..

If you don't know what Africam is.... click the link! Its amazing. Its a web cam, set up on a tree in Africa. There is a lodge on the property, and its live 24/7 and its got lions..monkeys, impalas..I mean just all kinds of animals. Its really cool. There is a program MWSnap that you can download and it allows you to take pictures from live web cams. Its really a cool and easy to use program.

Here are some pictures I took using it:
The Owl is actually from here
And the Pyramid is from Africam, if you go to the main site for Africam.

I goofed! Now what?

I'm sure this has happened to just about everyone...You send an email out to numerous people..and the one person you would rather not have receive it does...and RESPONDS!!! How exactly does one deal with this kinda thing? I wasn't talking bad about said person, didn't even mention them. I would just rather not associate with them. I don't want to be rude and totally ignore them, because they are very persistent. However, I just really don't want to be involved with this person.

Do I ignore them? Do I respond with 'Oh, I'm sorry..I didn't mean you.'?

I LOVE Audrey Hepburn (and frogs). When Scott's Aunt Nikki was down from N.Y. I told her about my life long dream to stand in front of Tiffany's with a coffee and a danish and have breakfast and she said if we go up to visit she'll take me!

I'm in a mood...

I was looking through
my pictures today, and thought I'd post some of my favorites. The little girl is my friend Jes' little girl, Lauren (age 4) and then you have Scott, and then Scott and I.

I've been playing around with pictures all day, so look for more in the next few days!

So that was pictures....

I didn't really post anything with the pictures..so here goes.

Scott started a sauce for lasagna before he left for work. And boy does my house smell goooooooood! We have been eating well all week! I made a huge pot of chicken alfredo Monday night, with cheesy bread and brocolli. Last night we had fried pork chops (Scott went shopping and bought HUGE bone in pork chop instead of what I normally get but they were good), he made macaroni and cheese to go along. And tonight, hopefully he doesn't get home to late from work because he has to put together a lasagna. I am going to try to get a few pictures of it because I know how good it looks. I can't take good pictures of food tho. Never turns out the way I'd like.

Scott still has family in, and a cousin is staying with us, so I really haven't done much of anything this week. I did hear that the daycare at the end of the road is hiring for the 2 yr olds. I love 2 yr olds. I think that the terrible two's are great. (as you can tell..I sooo don't have kids :-p ) When my sisters boys were growing up it was always fun to get them riled up and send them home!!! Except for when you lived there too...that was not so much fun. Norie said it doesn't pay much, but it'd be more of something for me to do with my days, and it would start my 'momma needs a new camera!' fund, and if it lasted long enough maybe I could put back some towards books and things for school.

Looking back over this..its pretty long. I hardly ever post so I guess its like playing catch-up.

I've been asked to take a family portrait. It won't be anything fancy, maybe at the beach or the park. But its nice to think that someone likes your photographs enough to really want you to capture a family memory. I think that's pretty cool. I wouldn't ask someone to take a picture of me if I didn't think they had at least a little talent. I'm looking forward to it, I think its gonna be alot of fun.

Okay enough..I need lunch!

Howdy!

This took me forever!!

I've been taking pictures lately. Lots of them. I haven't really done anything with them yet, but I thought I'd share just a few.
